Special Editions:Mosler MT900 GTR XX Sales Begin

The 2009 Mosler MT900 GTR XX has finally gone on sale in Europe. The company's 20th anniversary car passed Euro4 emissions tests, as well as quality checks performed by TUV Rheinland. Once the official word was handed down on both crash testing and electro magnetic compatibility testing, European and UAE sales were approved.

Weighing in at 2450 pounds (1111 kg), the car gets its power from a Corvette LS7 engine. When it was announced, the company had said they wanted to reduce the weight further with carbon Recaros, KW suspension, and MOVIT ceramic brakes in addition to the use of composite carbon fiber and Kevlar. In a press release, the company says that the result is a car that "allows the driver to brake deeper, carry higher speeds into and through the corners, and accelerate harder." Sounds good.

UgurSahinDesign Mallett Z03: A Sexy, 999 HP Twin-Turbo Corvette Cruise Missile

With its UgurSahinDesign-penned exotic sheet-metal and Mallett-engineered 999 HP twin-turbo V8 Corvette Z03 is looking more fleshed out than when we last saw it just over one year ago.

In fact, it's more likely to be mistaken for a wild new Lamborghini or Lotus than half-of-a-Z06. So if you've felt your standard Vette was a bit pedestrian and you didn't make it on to the ZR1 waitlist, USD has teamed up with Mallett Cars to create this limited edition conversion. From the images we've seen it's clear the design benchmark for this vehicle is more of the Italian, mid-engined variety than anything available on this side of the Atlantic. The cost of looking good will set you back $69,000 on top of the cost of your donor Corvette.

Final Design and Details for Melkus RS2000

New RS 2000 will have an extremely aerodynamic body which draws inspiration from the classic Melkus RS 1000 which went out of production in 1979. Like the 1000, the new RS 2000 features gullwing doors which have been specially engineered to swing out only a few centimeters to enable entry and exit in tight spaces. In the quest to reduce drag and improve downforce, Melkus outfitted the sports car with a completely closed underbody, a large front lip spoiler, and a rear diffuser.

Designed by Lutz Fügener and Jens Timmich, the new model follows the lightweight philosophy pioneered by company founder Heinz Melkus. To keep weight down the RS 2000 rides on an aluminum chassis which is wrapped in a body constructed from carbon fiber, the end result means that the sports car weighs less than 1,000 pounds (454 kg).

While the company failed to provide information regarding the car's powertrain, they did state that additional details would be released this summer.

Melkus has released several new pictures of their upcoming RS 2000 sports car that will go on sale in November with annual production limited to 25 units.
